Jimmy Reed

The exceptionally talented Pop artist Sarah Vaughn has released his CD entitled Sarah for lovers. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe that fans of Sarah Vaughn, and both pop fans might love this. With the launch of lovers Sarah Sarah Vaughn artistic excellence is on full display as Vaughn has once again delivered a brilliant collection of songs that could very well be his best work to date.

It's a rare day that I have a CD from an artist can truly say has no bad track in the bunch. I am more than happy to announce that's exactly what I have to say about this. It is simply not an evil in the bunch. No fillers here at all, height with each song standing on its own.

Sarah For Lovers is a well-varied mix of 16 tracks that are very well written songs by this artist clearly talent. Most of the lyrics of the songs show much of the kind that makes the thrill of listening to really great. Apparently, the picture of what we can imagine are their own personal experiences. At different points of contact in most real emotions like love, anguish, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. They're all here.

Overall Sarah For Lovers is a unique version. What I call must have music. I give two thumbs up and is definitely a valuable addition to any collection of pop. Truly an outstanding Pop CD. One that is completely void of any wasted time, as each issue is simply excellent.

While the entire CD is outstanding the real issues are outstanding track 3 – I will close my eyes, item 8 – I'm Glad There Is You, and track 16 – My Romance.

My cousin Pick, and which Sore [... as in "Stuck On Repeat"] is track 1 – I've Got A Crush On You. Outstanding!

This sweet, heartwarming 1973 offering from the Peanuts gang (and Charles Schulz) once again shows Charlie Brown in a pickle, as his erstwhile friends impose upon the hapless would-be-host to provide a memorable and traditional Thanksgiving feast. And as much as Charlie Brown would rather forget the whole thing, he just can’t help but try for fear of being labeled a failure. Ultimately it’s up to …

Von Richthofen & Brown [VHS]

The incredibly prolific exploitation film producer and director, Roger Corman, tries his hand at a war film with Von Richthofen and Brown, about WWI air battles between German icon Baron Manfred Von Richtofen (John Phillip Law), and his alleged captor, Canadian Lt. Roy Brown (Don Stroud). With a slowly unfolding plot that may be tedious to anyone but war buffs trolling for historical accuracy, the…

“Big boss man is still the man today,” growls Omar Dykes on one of just two non-Jimmy Reed covers from a rare release without his Howlers band. That handily sums up this roaring and impassioned tribute to one of the most vital, influential, yet often unheralded figures in blues. What was intended as a solo Dykes project took on a unique tinge as fellow Texan Jimmie Vaughan–also a huge Reed fan–s…

Blues Masters: Very Best of Jimmy Reed

Blues Masters: Very Best of Jimmy Reed

$9.92

With his meteoric run of hits from early 1955 through late 1961, Chicago’s Jimmy Reed reigned as the most popular bluesman of his day, rivaled only by fellow Mississippi transplant B.B. King. By the mid-’60s Reed was playing New York’s Carnegie Hall and the Apollo Theater and touring England as a star. Reed’s sweet, Delta-inflected singing complemented the cool, walking bass shuffles of his clever…

Jimmy Reed at Carnegie Hall

Jimmy Reed at Carnegie Hall

$7.43

Jimmy Reed was the biggest blues artist of the ’50s and early ’60s, outselling giants such as Muddy Waters and B.B. King. His stature was so great that Vee-Jay released a double album on him in 1961, a rarity at the time even for rock and pop artists. Though marketed as a live album, At Carnegie Hall was actually a collection of new stereo versions of Reed’s biggest hits. As such, it was tremendo…
