What do people living in Japan eat on a typical day? They are the longest-lived people, with nearly 30,000 people about 100! I guess most of their diet is unhealthy, like sushi, miso soup, etc. Someone knows?
The typical Japanese meal consists of a bowl of rice (Gohan), a bowl of miso soup (Miso Shiru), pickled vegetables (tsukemono) and fish or meat. While rice is the staple food, various types of noodles (udon, soba and ramen) are inexpensive and very popular for light meals. As an island nation, the Japanese are proud of their seafood. A variety of fish, squid, octopus, eels, crustaceans and appear in all kinds of dishes from sushi to tempura.
