Allman Brothers

Classic rock is a term used to refer to records released in the first end of the 70 artists who have become legendary and so "classic".

Most of these albums / artists were very original and become influential in many other bands for future generations. No matter what it was you were born in the 70s, from almost any band to listen to have been influenced by artists and bands from this era. So even if you are now only in their teens, and you find that favorite band sounds "totally original" you can bet your bottom dollar that they were influenced by someone this time (even if you do not even know!)

The seventies was a great time for music because it really was a revolutionary and original time music. Nothing has been copied or frying, each had their own sound, though as always in music, 70 was a continuation and evolution of the music of the 60s, but more mature fully in the 70s.

Bands and artists like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Free, The Allman Brothers, Queen, Black Sabbath, Cream, David Bowie, Status Quo are all examples of acts that made her start in the '60s but found his sound and style in the 70s, so it gave rise many other bands who then added their own flavor to these styles.

Lesser known bands like Uriah Heep, Wishbone Ash, Grand Funk Railroad, Scorpions (which was to be very big in the 80s), and Thin Lizzy are worthy of mentions, but not necessarily be known as legends, where as other acts like the queen became absolutely enormous and still are today.

The same goes for "guitar heroes". Almost all guitarists, no matter how old he heard about or has listened to Hendrix, Clapton. Guitarists talented and influential Jimmy Page, etc, but others are less well known that should be on legendary status, too. Two such examples are Richie Blackmore from Deep Purple and Michael Schenker of UFO. You'll find some modern players like Kirk Hammet and Dimebag Darrel were heavily influenced by Michael Schenker, Schenker, but it really has failed "to God as" the state, as some of his contemporaries like Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton.

Could continue for hours of classic rock and there are hundreds of excellent albums that are still available today (and some well-deleted), but some songs and albums a special mention for his prowess on guitar and the value of your time to at least a quick listen.

Here's a quick list or lesser known gems genius of classical music worth listening:

Deep Purple:
Guitarist: Richie Blackmore:
Choice albums: Made in Japan and Deep Purple in Rock
Songs: Highway Star, Child in Time.
Some of the most blistering guitar work you will ever hear recorded in the '70s and held the Book Guinness World Records as the strongest title recording ever made!

UFO:
Guitarist: Michael Schenker.
Choice albums: Phenomenon and force it.
Songs: Rock Bottom
One of the most exciting and dynamic solos ever recorded, who was 18 at the time!

FREE: (later to become "bad company" another great event!)
Guitarist Paul Kossof
Album: Best of Free.
Songs: All Right Now, Fire and Water. Mr. Big [Live]
Simplistic and slow style excellent natural tone, every feeling! A Les Paul plugged directly into a quarterback, no pedals and no tricks.

Wishbone Ash:
Guitarists: Andy Powell and Ted Turner.
Choice albums: Argus and therein lies the problem.
Excellent melody and bifilar line breaks, copied by many events since then! Complex arrangements

I know I missed many other guitarists and bands here, but the idea is to give an idea of the number of discovered 'jewels' that is to be heard, apart from the obvious legends!

There has never been a better showcase for improvisational rock than this 1971 concert recording, and few (if any) live rock albums are in its rank. With only two studio albums (and plenty of touring) under their belt, the Georgia sextet tore into the Fillmore East with road-tested buoyancy. Titanic guitarist Duane Allman was at the peak of his powers, pushing his foil, Dickey Betts, to unsurpasse…
